I’m enjoying using my new block book so I thought I’d give you a little sneak peek.... it’s improv Anne of Green Gables for those who didn’t recognise her 
It’s made using Liberty scraps from The Strawberry Thief Liberty club.
My Improv Army class has been running at Quilters Affair Online this week! I can’t wait to see what my students get up to

I’m working on another sample for my Quiltcon Together class today!
Quiltcon is online in 2021- which means we can have lots more students, and you can attend from your house, anywhere in the world. How fun is that!
You can still enrol for my class which teaches you to appliqué this lovely block, and also comes with a little freebie pattern to make your panel into a tote bag.

Good morning stitchers! Here's an exciting bit of news :)
I will be sending out an email in a few hours with a link to a bonus video for those of you who have signed up for the BOM, as a little treat before the first pattern comes on the 31st. It's a little bonus visual (no written instruction) tutorial on how to make a block book to keep your work safe over the 12 months. Just for fun! And also to test the email system and the video links so that everyone is set for the weekend.
If you haven't already, PLEASE MAKE SURE and add my email, [email protected] to your address book in your email system and that should stop the post going into spam.

Hi everyone! If you've signed up for my 2016 Block of the Month, you should now have received an introductory email with material requirements, colour advice and some FAQ's.
If you haven't got the email, please check in your spam box as we have had some issues with the mail going in there. If it is in your spam, please move it to your inbox, at which point your email system should ask if it is spam. Please say "no", and then the next email containing Pattern 1 should come to you with no problems! Alternatively, please add my email - [email protected] - to your email address book, and hopefully that will sort the problem out as well.
If you did check your spam and there still isn't an email, please let me know and I'll send it again for you.
If you haven't signed up for the BOM there is plenty of time! The first pattern won't be coming until January 31 so you haven't missed anything. The signups will stay open all year anyway, so if you do sign up later you will be sent all the previous month's patterns and video links all at once. However at present there is an option to pay monthly rather than pay the full fee up front - and that option will expire on January 30.

Here's some exciting news! I've decided that 2016 is the year to do something I've been planning to do for a long time - a Block of the Month program.
After subscribing, at the END of each month you will receive by email a PDF pattern including printable templates for that month's portion of the quilt construction. The first month will be delivered at the end of January, 2016. You are able to join in at any time throughout the year, and the patterns already released will be sent to you, however if you join AFTER January 31 the option of paying month by month will not be available.
On signing up for the BOM, about mid-January you will receive an email regarding the optional notions kit that will be available for the quilt. This is a one off posted kit available worldwide. There will be nothing else with postage attached to it for the BOM, and I am NOT providing any fabric for the quilt. The quilt is a brand new design, exclusive to BOM members until 3 months after the BOM finishes, at which time the quilt pattern will be available for purchase but the video instruction will remain exclusive to those within the program.
The BOM is ONLY available through by website, at www.sarahfielke.com It is NOT available through quilt shops or any other website.

So what is the quilt I can hear you all asking??? Below is a SKETCH of the quilt we are going to make. I stress SKETCH because while this is not a mystery Block of the Month, neither will you see the finished quilt that I have made until the last month. The sketch is not in any way accurate in size or scale, contrast or tone.
The blocks shown are representative and will be revealed as we go through the quilt. The border will contain more piecing and possibly more applique than what is shown here. However, I CAN tell you that the quilt will contain:
The quilt will finish at Queen size, however there will be advice on making the quilt smaller and changing the border size.
