It's a sparkly, crisp Autumn morning here in Sydney, I noticed on my walk today that there were a couple of lawns with a touch of frost. That means the weather is turning towards long hours of hand quilting - yippee!!
First news - I have a publication date for the book in the USA! It will be available from late August, so not too long to wait! As a reminder, it's available in the UK and Europe from May 1.
The blog tour is rocking along - today's blogger Kathreen at Whip Up has written a great post. Make sure and check out what everyone has had to say - the list of links is on the post below. Thank you so much to all the lovely bloggers involved who have done such a wonderful job and said such nice things about the book :)
Speaking of the book, if you are at the AQC in Melbourne starting today, you can find the book at the Down Under Quilts stand, where the lovely Deb will be happy to set you up with a copy.
The book has been spotted again at Shearer's Bookshop in Leichardt - thanks to whoever sent that pic for me! If it was you, please send me your address so I can send you some fabric. Don't forget if you spot my book for sale anywhere in Australia or NZ send me a pic and I will send you a FQ of From Little Things.
Naked Beds is growing by the moment - 86 and counting. If you don't already know about this fun challege, click on the link and check it out. Lets see if we can clothe 100 Naked Beds in 8 weeks! You can go and have a look at the fantastic starts people have made on their challenge at the Flickr group.
Caroline has been trying her hand at the Geese Around the World quilt from the book - you guys are really liking that one! Great job Caroline, I love it, thanks for sharing. I've added it to the Quilting: from little things Flickr Group, along with a couple of others - if you make anything from the book, please go along and share!
OK people got to go - I am being a stunt quilter on telly today! My quilt, Stars in Your Eyes, will be in an upcoming issue of Better Homes and Gardens magazine (thats Australia, not US) and they are going to do a piece on it in the TV show as well. I'll let you know when it's on, look out for my hands - not my face :) tee hee
