Karen made this version of my quilt, A Walk in Deventer. Didn't she do a great job?
The pattern for A Walk in Deventer is available from my website, and you can even get a DVD that tells you all about my method of hand applique. Here's my quilt:
Isn't it funny how some quilts just hit a buzzer with people? And it's never the one you think. For example, this is one of my favourite quilts:
And I don't think I've ever sold a pattern for it, other than to students in class. It's a funny old world :)

You should of called it Fifty Shades of Grey.....

Hi Sarah, I'm very curious about the name a walk in Deventer. Because Deventer is a town in Holland where my brother in law and his family lives. Is the quilt named after that town?

I'm surprised that people aren't more taken by the pattern for one of your favorite quilts. Maybe because it looks a lot harder than it is. I made a version from the pattern that appeared in Quilters Newsletter. It was easy (no set-in seams), fairly fast (only four blocks) and fun to make. Here's my scrappy version: http://amsewing.blogspot.com/2012/06/pointless-lone-star.html
