There are some seriously beautiful quilts happening out there!
Hey all you coverers of Naked Beds! The deadline is looming very close - and LOADS of you have written to me to ask for just a little more time. And so, magnanimous as I am, I grant thee all a few more days. The DEADLINE FOR NAKED BEDS will now be 5pm, Monday, JUNE 6, Australian EST.
If you DO have a Flickr account:
1. Post a good, clear pic of your finished quilt to the Naked Beds Flickr page.
2. Email me to email@example.com your name, the size of your quilt, whose pattern it is (or if it's your own), and what fabrics you made it from. Also the LINK to your flickr pic.
3. You MUST email me. Just posting to the Flickr page gives me no info, no way of contacting you and makes it very hard for me to track down the finished entries
4. Tell me if you want your quilt entered into the Down Under Quilts original design section of the challenge
If you DO NOT have a Flickr account:
Do the same as above but EMAIL me the pic of your quilt.

I must stress something. An original design is something you did the maths for, came up with the idea for, and completely designed yourself. Using a well known patchwork block is FINE, there is no copyright on a pieced block. HOWEVER using someone else's pattern and merely changing the fabrics or the size of the border is NOT an original design. There is a myth on the internet that changing 10% of a pattern removes the copyright - this is not true. Any quilt found to use someone else's pattern that is entered into the DUQ section of the competition will be disqualified.
That's it! Off you go and finish up peeps. Have fun!
PS. Does anyone know how to get big pics off Flickr?? I would love to blog some of these bigger but I only know how to copy off the thumbnails. I am a Flickr spaz :)
