Subtitled, "Any Excuse for a Party."
Wheee! What a fun night. About 50 friends, family, students and colleagues gathered together last night at Plume au Vent in Greenwich to have a drink on Murdoch, and help me launch my new book.
The shop looked wonderful with all the quilts hanging on walls and from doorways. Thank you so much to Flo for providing the venue!
My wonderful SIL brought the cupcakes and my lovely friend Rosie made meatballs to help me cater! Thanks so much girls xx
Me and Sarah from Calico and Ivy
Of course my intrepid and amazing team from Murdoch was there - Georgina my editor, Diana my publisher and Sophia my project manager. My photographer Sue wasn't able to come - we missed you Sue and had a drink for you!

Diana made a wonderful speech and made me blush. I think she was a little surprised to discover that although I teach classes and speak to groups about quilting, talking about myself to a group of my buddies was not on the cards!! I did warn you I wasn't going to speak Diana :)
Official part of the proceedings over, Flo put on her party hat and we turned up the Blondie.

There are many more pictures and many more friends to show, but this post will become an epic! 6.30 - 9.30 it said on the invitation... at 12.30 we thought perhaps the neighbours might be sick of us, and we closed up Plume au Vent for the evening - not before Flo clambered into the window to change today's opening time from 11 to 11-ish.... there were one or two sore heads at clean up this morning.
NOW for the next exciting bit! The blog tour for QFLT starts on MONDAY, April 11 - yep this Monday coming! Here are the stops along the way where you can read what Australian and Uk bloggers have to say about the book, and maybe even win a copy for your very own.

Wednesday, April 13: Rosalie Quinlan
Thursday, April 14: Whip Up

That's right, a whole week of QFLT goodness, brought to you by all Aussie bloggers - and of course, Fat Quarterly. Don't miss it!
PS. LOTS of you are asking about where to get the book in the US and Canada - at the moment the book is NOT available there but I will be able to give you a publishing date there very soon. The book is currently available in Australia and NZ, and will be in the UK and Europe on May 1. Thanks so, so, SO much to EVERYONE who has written and called and tweeted and given me their support and encouragement and made such beautiful comments about the book, I am so thrilled!
