I've been very busy over the last 3 days! My wonderful friend Flo has been getting her new shop, Plume au Vent (which means feather in the wind) ready for the grand opening last night, and I have been placing and pricing and sweeping and polishing and generally helping her get everything ready for the big night.
The shop is filled with the most wonderful bits and pieces that Flo has collected from all over the world, from vintage and antique quilt tops and blocks, to Russian military posters, to old birdcages and crockery.
Everywhere you look there is another thing that catches your eye!
There are also two beautiful quilts made by Flo herself, as well as a smattering of French pieces for French Flo herself!
Last night a huge group of Flo's friends and family arrived at the shop we had been polishing all day for French champagne, French cheese, strawberries and my sister in law's amazing cupcakes. Her friend MJ did the beautiful floral arrangements in the shop's collection of vintage vases.
It was a great night, so much fun! If you think the shop looks as devine as I do, pop on down to 123 Greenwich Rd, Greenwich in Sydney and take a look yourself. It's well worth the trip. Tell Flo that Sarah sent you :)
Due to all this arranging and polishing, I have fallen a little behind on things with a deadline... so I spent today doing this -

Magda and I will certainly meet Flo, when we are in Sydney in August.
