Just fiddling around and found this at the V&A site. You can upload your photo - here's the cabbage rose I've been playing around with.
And then choose your number of colours (max 20) and complexity (this is advanced) and they give you the pattern...
I think I would add more colours and fiddle a bit more with triangles vs squares etc, but pretty fun huh?

Whoah! That is cool, but a lot of little triangles. Are you going to do it??

Great fun! Thanks for the link. I used my poppy-picture to make a design.

Thank you so much for this link! I was looking for an idea for my parents-in-law, and now I'll just use one of the many pictures I took of their flower garden ;-) Great feature. I discovered your blog recently, and am quite glad about it :-) Very inspiring.

That is totally cool! Speaking of finding great stuff, have you checked out www.WeAllSew.com yet? Lots of great sewing and quilting inspiration to find!

I just got around to try out the functionality found on the V&A Museum web site. How great! I quickly shared it with the members of my Quilting Guild.
Did you notice that the site also provides you with the capability to "Design a Textile"? One of my dreams!
Thank you Sarah for sharing this fantastic site!

Wow, what a great tool! This would have made my life so much easier when I was designing needlepoint many years ago! Thanks for the tip.

Just for today I will have a quiet half hour all by myself and relax. During this half hour, sometime, I will try to get a better perspective of my life.
