Sorry for the silence there girls, but I have some good excuses.
A. I have been madly piecing 528 flying geese, finishing, then deciding I need another 266.
B. I hurt my back pretty badly, and then, in an effort to not further hurt my back by stretching up to the top of the design wall, instead stood on a chair to reach and promptly fell off it, further hurting the aforementioned back and also my hip and knee. Sympathy please, amongst the smothered laughter.
C. We have been madly loading and loading and loading, all the exciting new things at SEWN this week.
And most exciting of all....
What do you mean what's Sew n' Sell?? It's out brand spanking new online marketplace that is expecially for all things sewn, and all things you need to sew things with. How exciting is that? My little Last Piece shop has the honour of being the very first shop in the Market, but if you hop on over there you can be next! In fact, the tenth shop to be created is going to win a fantabulous yet-to-be-revealed package of goodies from our prize stash in the office. If you want to check my shop out, click on the Sew n' Sell icon in my sidebar. And I have already had my first sale! Thanks to Lenore who was first in.
AND (can you believe there's an and?) I finally, FINALLY did the
Dresden Plate tutorial! For instructions that I have been promising for over a month now,
Sorry there's no pretty pictures, that would mean getting up off the couch with my gimpy knee and it just ain't happening. Tomorrow I promise prettiness and the lovely things I was sent from my
Polka Dot Swap partner. See ya!

Oh dear...please heal fast and beware of ladders. Fantastic giveaway! I just received my brand new Piece O Cake book in the mail yesterday. LOVE it. And how I love dresdens. I've been on a dresden kick lately...lots of projects big and small. Most recently a quilt for my bed in Flea Market Fancy fabrics.

I think I'll be order Material Obsession Two very soon. Since I was able to do the conversion to USD I noticed it's not nearly as much as I thought it would be! Yeah! I don't want to wait until January or February for it to come out in the US anyway. Do you think I'll have any problem with the measurements? Are they in metric in the Australian version? Oh well, it would be so cool to get it directly from the author. I am looking forward to ordering it and perhaps adding my little shop to Sew n Tell.

Hope your back is feeling better, that's one of the worst kinds of pain, you can't sew with it!
Thanks for the Dresden Plate tutorial - I had no idea how to go about it, but your instructions are clear, and I think even I could have a go at it using those them!! Thanks!

Sarah, I'm sorry to hear you are in pain with your back, hip and knee...I know first hand how intense the pain can be. Best thing is for lots of rest, take the opportunity of letting everyone wait on you, you deserve it.
Bye now, I'm off to have a squiz at Sew'nSell...

I hope you are feeling better soon! I know what it is like to really hurt yourself like that. But that doesn't seem to have gotten you down. Lots going on at Sewn!
