How fun -- flying geese are my favorites! And I think that little child in us that still loves the little things like pretty boots -- that's what keeps us young. And makes life that much more fun =)

The best thing about having all boys....you get the boots! You know darn well if we had girls, they'd be the ones wearing the pretty boots:)

Happy Birthday Sarah, oh my, if I had those boots I would wear them every day. They are toooooo cute. In America they are wearing them around! Wish we could find those hear. I have a pair that are black with white polka dots on them. You look adorable with the boots. Find every excuse to wear them!

A very Happy Birthday to you. Love the boots. The color is fabulous! They are perfect for you.
I love the last picture. Your eye follows the colors across giving "movement" to the quilt.
What a wonderful picture of your student. The landscape is amazing.

Yes, the boots are funky, but I would worry about getting them all mucky!
I like to use flying geese to indicate direction and point to things. I like to use them to enhance a theme I have in a quilt. For example, on your women's day quilt I had a transport theme and now the flying geese are the road that twists and turns all the way through the cars and trucks and monsters on the quilt. Maybe I like to use them to tell the story of the quilt.
