OK, I know my blog has been a little light on quilt pics lately, but I've been working on stuff I'm not allowed to show you. Lots of activity, just no reveal. Frustrating I know. Finally though, this is finished and I am very excited to have a reveal.
This is something I haven been designing with my friend,
Sue Spargo. We have been working on it for what seems like AGES, but now mine is done (I have to make a whole extra set of borders yet, so that Sue has a quilt too) and is off to
Down Under Quilts for the October edition.
Sue and I have had such fun designing together. What a buzz to work with someone you find so groovy! Bring on the next one!
Oh, and I finished this too.
PS. did you know my quilt is on the cover of this month's DUQ? If you go to
SEWN and sign up for your digital edition, you can get the pattern right now!

Stunning and WOW!!! I love the mix of wool and fabric. I've yet to venture into the world of wool but admire it so much. When I do...a Sue Spargo pattern will top my list.

Beautiful Sarah!
And thanks for the heads up on your quilt on the cover of DUQ. Do you need to have the paper subscription to get the templates mentioned in the online pattern? I love the quilt and would like to make it.
Thanks.

GORGEOUS work, Sarah and Sue! Yep, and if you'd just re-make the whole quilt, then I will have one too. Kthx. :-) Really, it is just lovely! Do I detect a lot of tasty velvet in those little leaves?? Your quilt on the DUQ cover is so bright and fun! Love the French General quilt. Busy girl!

It is good to hear the old buzz in your blog. It is super good to see quilts. Fun. Now for the not so fun.... I have tried to sign up for the DUQ and do not get it done. Will try again but may come calling to Charlie for a lesson. Enjoy your week-end.

so gorgeous! I absolutely love these. Is the Sue Spargo all wool or have you used some cotton? Looks like some batiks too...the son of yours that asked for the batik quilt must be very please with this one:) I've got to hunker down and finish some stuff...but I'm headed to the US next week and unfortunately that will be more of a 'shopping' opportunity than a 'finishing' opportunity! Take care, xo Meg
